Vanilla extract

How to make strawberry frosting
Whip the butter. In a large mixing bowl, whip the butter. Slowly add in 2 cups of powdered sugar and mix until combined.
Fold in strawberries. Fold in your Powdered strawberries.
Add vanilla and powered Sugar. Add vanilla and 1 more cup of powdered sugar, continue mixing. If you are wanting to pipe this frosting, I would recommend adding more powered sugar, so it will become more stiff.
Adjust consistency as needed. Add in your last cup of powdered sugar and mix until combined. You may need to add a tablespoon or two of milk to thin the frosting down. Add more or less milk depending on the consistency. You want it to be thick, creamy and able to hold a point.

Notes
I definitely recommend using freeze dried strawberries for this recipe. Pulse them in a blender before adding to the frosting. This will help with breaking down chunks of strawberries. (Be sure to remove the Oxygen Absorber before blending.) Using fresh strawberries will make the frosting thinner and sometimes clumpy or even separating the strawberries from the buttercream .
